I have 2 daughters studying abroad. I added their foreign school addresses and checked foreign address box but I cannot go past review. I have already paid also.

Turbotax does not let me past the final review and keeps on asking zipcode and state for the school foreign addresses, although I checked the foreign address box when adding the school information. Is there a way around it?

First of all, make sure you check to see if the School is listed as an approved school to claim educational expenses. it must be a school that is approved by the US DEPT of Education. You can determine this by going to this database to see if this is an accredited institution complete with an EIN. Did you receive a 1098T from this school?

If it is accredited, complete with an EIN and if the program does not allow you to continue without the address, you may wish to print the return and mail it in.

If it is accredited, complete with an EIN and an issued 1098-T and if the program does not allow you to continue without a US address then put your own US address in for the school's as it really doesn't matter.

Thanks a lot Dave for your advice. I was able to resolve the issue after contacting turbotax via phone. The catch the expert gave was to insert my home zipcode.
