      <description>&lt;P&gt;Other than sales tax, none of these MA registration fees are eligible for a deduction. Your annual MA auto excise tax could be deducted as a Personal Property Tax. But as noted, new limits due to Tax Reform may make it a non-issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This is for a regular passenger&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;car&lt;/B&gt;&amp;nbsp;registered in&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;MA&lt;/B&gt;. From the&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;DMV&lt;/B&gt;.....&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You may be able to take an itemized&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;deduction&lt;/B&gt;&amp;nbsp;on Schedule A for any tax related portion of the&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;registration&lt;/B&gt;&amp;nbsp;fee. To be&amp;nbsp;&lt;B&gt;deductible&lt;/B&gt;, the tax portion must be based on the value of the vehicle and be charged on a yearly basis.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But I would not worry about this too much since the SALT restrictions in this section is capped at $10K .. so if your RE taxes and state taxes already exceed that amount just skip this item.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
