The one for charity? That is gone for 2022. Charitable donations are itemized deductions now, and will only have an effect if you have enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction.

Very true. However in some states some taxpayers are able to take a charitable donation deduction adjustment to their taxable income. For example, here in Colorado, everything beyond the first $500 of donations is deductible. In California, where property taxes can be quite high, it is allowed and can be advantageous to itemize on the state return and get to use all the donations.

Bottom line: it is generally worth putting your charitable contributions in the itemized deductions section just in case they happen to prove unexpectedly valuable. At the very least put in a ballpark figure to see if it changes you federal or state tax.
