The program is not 100% complete and fully functional (in terms of all components, particularly the depreciation component).

You might try transferring your 2021 again. How many rental properties do you have?

Could you have transferred from the wrong file? See if you have another .tax2021 file on your computer. Or maybe last year you marked the Asset as Sold?

Here's an idea. Do you still have 2021 installed? Try opening 2021 program and see if you can get your 2021 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. And see if your property is in it and if it's marked as final sold.

Then save it again with a name and place you can find. Go to File - Save As. Then start a new 2022 return and transfer from the saved 2021 file.

Reasons this will happen:

1. The program is "NOT" complete yet, and it won't be complete until *after* congress finalizes tax law changes *and* the IRS releases the updated forms caused by those tax law changes. This is particularly known to have affected the depreciation section of the program for every single year of the 20 plus years I've been using the TurboTax program. It is not uncommon for this section to be finalized until the middle of February or after.

2. On the prior year tax return you marked a property or some of its assets as either sold or converted to personal use.

3. You have more than one .tax2021 file on your computer (if using desktop version) and you imported from the wrong one.

4. Even if none of the above describes the situation, I have seen times where when you have 3 or more properties for SCH E, one or more of those properties is not imported for unknown reasons. When that happens, the only recourse (at this point) is to print out the prior year's 4562's (both of them) for that property and enter the data manually.

using Turbotax for over 20 yr, basically since it came on the market. Transfer 6 properties from 2021, 1 missing. Don't ask me why. Tried several 2021 saved files (with all 6 properties), still missing one property.
