Delete form 1116

I have no foreign tax credit, but it keeps saying I have $1 credit. I am trying to delete form 1116, but I go to the Tools menu, there's nothing like Tax Tools in the Menu. I only see Tools menu and nowhere I can find delete forms.

The quest is: how do I delete the $1 foreign tax credit? Thanks!

You’re probably seeing the deletion procedure for TurboTax Online.

It looks like you’re using the desktop version, so please see the TurboTax Help article How do I delete a tax form in the TurboTax CD/Download software? for guidance.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I followed the instructions, opened the form, and deleted the form. But the $1 foreign tax credit is still there! And if I try open the form again, the same form is still listed!

If your return is showing a $1 foreign tax credit, one of your tax forms may have a $1 for foreign tax paid. You won't be able to delete the 1116 form if this is the case. Review your tax forms especially your Form 1099-DIV, Box 7 Foreign Tax Paid to see if there is an entry for Foreign Tax Paid.
