Yes it is in all versions. To get to the stimulus questions in TurboTax at any time, you can search for stimulus or recovery rebate credit then hit ENTER and there should be a Jump to link

If you are trying to trigger it,

Click on Other Tax Situations at top

Click on Let's get started

Answer some questions then Continue

Then click on Let's keep going

Next screen is for the Third Stimulus, if you qualify

If you did not get prompted to enter your stimulus information, that means you either:

Filed as a dependent being claimed on another tax return, or

have an AGI too high to claim the recovery rebate

No credit is allowed when AGI is at least the following amount:

$160,000 if married and filing a joint return or if filing as a qualifying widow or widower

$120,000 if filing as head of household or

$80,000 for all others.

My 47 year old son's only income is Social Security Disability of $18,000. He did receive $1,400 third impact payment. The turbotax calculator is showing $1,400 tax due. I believe this is incorrect.

If your son's only income is Social Security then he is not required to file a tax return unless he has a 1095A for health insurance from the marketplace. If he already received the $1400 stimulus then he cannot get it again on a 2021 tax return.

I like to file even though it is not required just to document his financial situation. I have been able to use TurboTax to accurately do so in the past. The program should not indicate that taxes are due when they are not. Others might follow the TurboTax result and be asked to refund the payment - incorrectly.

If your son's return says he owes tax when his only income was Social Security then you entered something incorrectly when you prepared the return. Did you e-file it yet? It sounds like you have messed up somehow with the $1400 stimulus check.

I did not file. As far as entering something incorrectly- that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I did respond to the question that we did receive the $1400 Economic Impact Payment and TurboTax said that was correct the correct amount. The only other information was his name and address etc transferred from last year’s return and the entry of the Social Security Disability amount.

I couldn’t find the tools button to start over - but I did find that I must of entered the 1400 as an advance child care payment - I zeroed that out and ran the check - 1400 no longer due as taxes.

Sorry - does indeed appear that I must have entered it incorrectly. Thanks for all the help.

Perhaps you are not eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

The payments do not need to be paid back, so if you are not eligible for the credit, the program would not be concerned with the payment.

The IRS sent the letter for your (the Taxpayer) information. It is not a "tax form" which needs to be reported on your return.

According to the IRS:
