    <description>&lt;P&gt;In 2021, daughter left private school after only having completed 58 of 275 days.&amp;nbsp; Tuition was paid in full and we were not monetarily reimbursed for the unused 217 days of education.&amp;nbsp; Since there was no quid pro quo, can I consider the unreturned balance as a charitable contribution to the school.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you can get documentation from the school showing that the amount you paid that was unused&amp;nbsp;was considered a donation, then you can include it as a charitable donation.&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;The IRS requires documentation from the organization for any cash contributions over $250.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
