You can get the child tax credit for your child born in 2021. It will not be the "advance" payments. "Advance" payments were made between the months of July and December--which are over. But you can get the full amount on your 2021 tax return. It will show up on line 28 of your Form 1040.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.

And if you claimed your father as a dependent you get the $500 credit for other dependent for him. That will be on line 19.

Make sure you go to Federal Review and answer the questions about the 3rd stimulus payment correctly. Enter the amount you received already. You may be able to get that for claiming your dad, and you will get it for the baby. It will go on line 30.

Please clarify: Did you claim your Father as your dependent, or did he claim you as his? If the latter, you cannot claim the baby as your dependent. (Your screen name suggests you were born in 1999, which could mean your Dad was supporting you in 2021).
