What exactly do you think is wrong with the calculation?

The New Jersey Child and Dependent Care Credit is a percentage of the federal Credit For Child and Dependent Care Expenses, depending on your income. What are the exact amounts on your federal Schedule 3 lines 2 and 13g? What are the exact amounts on your New Jersey Form NJ-1040 lines 41 and 63?

What do you think the amount on NJ-1040 line 63 should be? How did you calculate it?

What is your filing status?

Were you a resident of New Jersey for the entire year?

Sorry, I was just calculating it as 10% of federal credit in my case, but we should consider the number of months stayed in NJ according to Ref: https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pdf/current/1040i.pdf

Page 42: Part-Year Residents. Prorate your credit based on the number of months you were a New Jersey resident.

Two points here:

1. TurboTax didn't provide any clue on "explainWhy" or "How did you calculate", but I'm fine with it now 😐.

2. Its about the State rules and nothing on TurboTax, I paid entire portion to someone NJ resident to take care of my dependent, then why should it be a prorate for part-year resident? Why can't it be calculated like INT or DIV 😠.
