Form 1116, Foreign Tax Credit won't be available until 02/24/2022. Federal Individual Form Availability

Once the form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded and tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability.

If you need Schedule B (Form 1116), that will not be available until 3/31/2022.

At the end of TT tax return documentation process, I see a message.

Form 1116. Available 0

If I continue, I am led to a simplified foreign tax credit election smart worksheet (Form 6251), and that's tricky to complete without instructions. I do not want to fill-in some new forms, which will create additional problems, if any.

The online form availability page shows 3/31 but for efile it shows unsupported. Does that mean I will not be able to efile?

Yes, it does if your return includes Schedule B (1116).

Wondering if I should fill out Form 1116 by hand using a form downloaded from IRS instead. It is disappointing that this simple form is still missing from TurboTax

Why do I keep getting emails from Intuit saying that form 1116 is now available in TurboTax, yet TT appears to show that it is still not available ?

It seems ridiculous that form 1116 has been available in H&R Block tax software for a while now, but still not available in TT...

Form 1116 Schedule B, Foreign Tax Carryover Reconciliation Schedule will be available in TurboTax for printing on 03/10/2022 and for e-filing on 03/11/2022

Getting error message when trying to file return electronically. Message says to attach pdf of Form 1116 Sched B? Won’t let me proceed. Please advise.

Form 1116 Sched B still not available for efiling, this being Mar 11. Kind of ridiculous and frustrating, especially having paid the state efiling fee for state and the error message then shows up on the transmit page.

I am using TurboTax Home and Business 2021 (Mac). I paid some taxes in Canada and tried to get credit for it. Thus far, TurboTax was able to deduct part of that using Foreign Tax Credit formula, but during the "final review" TurboTax alerted me to an error: the absence of Form 1116. I have checked for updates religiously these past days without any luck.
