Being that you were hospitalized for several months of the year and disabled from approximately April through December does not excuse you from filing a tax return. You simply complete the TurboTax interview based on the tax documents you received.

That is dreadful--hope you are doing better now. If you paid any out of pocket medical expenses and you are able to itemize deductions on your tax return you can enter the medical expenses that you paid in 2021.

To enter your medical expenses go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Medical>Medical Expenses

You do not say if you received any disability income---if so you may need to enter it on your tax return. And if you had any other taxable income for 2021 you still need to enter it.

For disabled adults:

There is an extra amount added to your standard deduction if you are legally blind. Your federal return does not provide any other credits or deductions for saying you are disabled, with one possible exception.

There is a credit for the Elderly and Disabled which is so small that very few people benefit from it—-it has not been updated/increased by Congress for decades.

There are some states that provide various credits to elderly/disabled folks, so watch for that when you prepare your state return. The states that I know of that have anything for elderly/disabled are AZ, CT, DE, IA, MO, ND, NY, VE. There may be others.
