I bought an RV. Is that considered paying for registration fee?

Yes, if it’s a yearly fee based on the value of your RV and you itemize your deductions. You can’t deduct the total amount you paid, only the portion of the fee that’s based on your RV's value. As long as your vehicle registration or license fee for your RV includes taxes based on the value of the item, you're eligible for this deduction.

Follow these directions to input your registration fee:

With your return open, search for car registration inside your program.
Select the Jump to link at the top of your search results.
Answer Yes to Did you pay any car registration fees in 2021? and then enter them on the next screen.
