    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am helping my friend file his tax return for 2021.&amp;nbsp; He is married filing jointly with 2 children both under 17.&amp;nbsp; One is 8 and one is 5.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;They all have social security numbers.&amp;nbsp; They all are green card holders.&amp;nbsp; They have been in the states since September 2021.&amp;nbsp; Turbo Tax is giving him $5600 Recovery Rebate Credit ( $1400 x 4 = $5600 )&amp;nbsp; The third stimulus check was given out last spring and they were not even in the country.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Are they entitled to this credit?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes you are eligible to get third stimulus.&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;Third stimulus is paid based on your&amp;nbsp;2021 tax return and did not require residency in the USA&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;You will not be eligible for child tax credit as you did not live here for at least 6 months&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
