Now they tell us: PPE deductible

Such good news to learn that PPE purchased to prevent catching COVID is deductible.

If only I'd been tracking those purchases all year. I have no idea how much I spent on masks, sanitizer, gloves, etc. I track "Health" purchases in Quicken but not to the level of detail required to break out PPE. Do you?

Alas, these are unlikely to exceed 7.5% of AGI anyway. But I wonder how many folks are now going to file Amended returns and claim these anyway.

I surpassed the 7.5% by a lot this year, largely because of Mrs. Squirrel's expensive self-paid health insurance.
