Can someone tell me how to know if I got the 3000/3600 child tax credit per child?

I have 4 kids, single mom, and claimed 3 of my 4 this year. Doesn't appear I got the correct credit

That is because this increase in the credit is not yet law yet and If/When this ever makes it to the president's desk for a signature we will not know how this is to be implemented and on which tax year it will show up on so keep reading the papers for the upcoming details.

Thanks. Guess I'm still confused. It looks like only 2 of my 3 got the child tax credit, my oldest who was 17 last year shows as 'other' dependent. But the credit is not the larger amount(that I now know hasn't been passed yet)

Right, they have to be under 17 on December 31 to get the Child Tax Credit.

UNDER 17 means 16 or younger in IRS speak.

Right 16 and under. Even if she turned 17 on December 31 she doesn't qualify.
