I'm doing my daughters 2019 federal return and having trouble with a question. she is a full time student who received a 16.00 state refund last year, turbotax asked if she itemized or claimed standard deduction in 2018. her return shows something other than a std deduction amount but I have no schedule A to show why. do I have to even mention the 16.00 refund?

She did not itemize. She just had a lower standard deduction because she was claimed as a dependent. You do not have to put the $16 on her return.
