&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you pay for health insurance through your job, your premiums not taxed by your employer, so you can't deduct them on your tax return.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you have other health insurance, including long term care insurance, optical and dental coverage, that you pay for out of pocket, you can deduct that under Deductions &amp;amp; Credits. That is part of Itemized deductions, and only the amount that exceeds 7.5% of your gross income can be deducted.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This is in reference to the form 1040, schedule1 WORKSHEET where it's asked about self employed health insurance and long term health insurance.&amp;nbsp; Are they asking solely about long term health insurance held by taxpayer that is self employed?&amp;nbsp; My husband and I are NOT self employed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
