Last year I got a credit for my 401(k), this year I don’t see one. Why do I not have the credit this year?

You may have made too much to qualify for the Retirement Saving Contribution Credit. Here are the income limits based on you filing status:

Single or Married Filing Separately $32,000

Married Filing Jointly $64,000

Head Of Household $48,000

If your income is over the amount listed, you do not get the credit. Students are not eligible for the credit regardless of income.
