      <description>&lt;P&gt;Since&amp;nbsp;you were both owners, and both listed on the mortgage, you can split the mortgage interest deductions based on the amount each of you paid.&amp;nbsp; Just be sure that combined, you don't claim more than the total.&amp;nbsp; You also can split the&amp;nbsp;property tax deduction.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
