TurboTax miscalculated my mileage

My 2016 tax return was miscalculated by Turbotax. My mileage is correct but the dollar amount deducted is not. This is an automated calculation. Put in the mileage and Turbotax calculates the amount. Now the IRS is looking for money back and Turbotax wants me to pay them$100.00 to even discuss their mistake? Will I need to get attornies involved in this?

A notice from the IRS or a state would usually mean one of several things:
   1. The Turbotax software made an error,
   2. The issuer of an information return such as a Form 1099 issued one with incorrect information,
   3. The IRS or state made an error in processing the return, or
   4. The Turbotax user entered incorrect or incomplete information or did not answer questions correctly.

What type of mileage? There are different rates for charity, medical, business, etc.. Could you have misidentified the type? As an aside, some per diem rates may have changed during the year (such as on July 1, or on Oct 1 for govt employees).
