LA State Return will not accept both 02E and 06E.

My 88-year-old Mother has retired fm LA State Employment. LA Tax return says it already took care of Exemption 06E - Exemption of up to $6,000 for Seniors 65+. And the software will not let me take an exemption for her LA State Pension of 44k which is ANOTHER LINE EXEMPTION 02E.

Can OVERride. BUG??? Do I need to Handwrite the return....And I want my $25 back for the cost of the software!!!

TurboTax will exempt Louisiana State Employees' Retirement Benefits if you selected that option when you entered Form 1099-R.

Type 1099r in Search in the upper right
Select Jump to 1099r
Select Review next to your mother's pension
Continue until you see Where is your distribution from?
Select Louisiana State Employees' Retirement Benefits

You'll see both the $6,000 senior exemption and the state retirement exemption on Schedule E
