Why do you think the NJ wages are not correct?

As you note, most cafeteria contributions which are removed from Wages on the federal return so they are added back to state wages on your W-2.

There is probably nothing to correct on your NJ return.

If you don't agree, come back and tell us which cafeteria items these are.

On your federal tax return, health care insurance premiums your employer pays on your behalf are not included in your wage income, as reported on line 1 on your W-2. Federal tax law exempts them from taxation. However, New Jersey does not, so you have to add that benefit back when your report your income on your state tax return.
