I have a unemployment form for Illinois which does with with hold state taxes. I can only find a federal id number no state? What do I put in state id?

If there were no state taxes withheld, you should not need to put a number there. But if it is required to e-file, try using the federal ID.

Hi! Yes I paid state taxes on it which is why it weird Illinois would not put a number on the form for the state.

Make sure you select IL for the state to ensure any withholdings are allocated to the correct state.
