My IN state return was rejected due to apparent invalid data on the name line of the 1099R. I corrected it by removing a couple periods and a / mark. When attempting to refile I keep getting a message that I need to E-file the Fed return; which has already been successfully filed. When clicking to file both again it tells me "E-file requires federal return". Needless to say, having paid for the E-filing I would like to complete the process electronically. Any assistance with my problem will be very much appreciated.

I'm having the same issues with my NY State return. When I filed my federal, I could not file my State due to an error stating Turbo Tax was still working on a software update on my state return. Therefore, I went ahead and filed the Federal and clicked I would file the State later. Now that the issue with the Turbo Taxes State software has been updated. I'm getting the same message as you are. Stating I must choose a Federal Return to file my State.
