State Tax efiling without the federal

Efiled federal last month, was accepted. Change my state to mail in to efile. Now the software doesn't give me the option to efile my state without the Federal, but the federal return is not an option to be efile because it was efiled much earlier. Not sure if my choice is just to mail in my state return.

Are you using the Desktop CD/Download program? There might be a problem efiling state that just cropped up. They should be looking into it.

I filed my federal and it has been approved. I want to e-file my state and it is not letting me do so.

It only shows both together. I am working on a desk top

You can e-file your federal and state taxes together, if you choose to e-file your federal first, you'll have to wait until that return has been accepted before you can e-file your state. Please see this Help Article with instructions on e-filing and submitting your state return.
