Why don't the medical premiums, including Medicare, transfer to my Wisconsin return as a subtraction to income? They are listed as a federal itemized deduction.

Here is a TurboTax workaround for this issue that was said to work by a fellow taxpaper:

"You can override the calculation on a screen located in the State module under Income (not Credits - even though it is an adjustment that affects the Itemized Deduction Credit). Once I hard-coded the correct number in the field, my state return reflected how I thought it should have looked. I was able to e-file my returns today following this set of instructions."

Thank you for the reply and I understand the ability to enter line item amounts but this doesn't really answer my question about why this doesn't automatically transfer from a federal deduction to a Wisconsin subtraction to income, make sense?
