Stimulus payments are not taxable so is the Federal refund.

Your state or local refund might be taxable if:

You itemized deductions last year, instead of taking the standard deduction
You claimed state and local income taxes (not general sales taxes)
Claiming the deduction helped you increase your federal refund or lower your tax bill.

I itemized last year how does that affect MN state taxes. What about the stimulus 2020. Taxable in MN?

Does Turbo look at last years 2019 when 2020 is prepared.? does that take MN tax i to consideration?

I believe I ite ized last year can you check on this for me?

We cannot see your tax returns in this forum. However, According to the MN Department of Revenue, the stimulus payments are not taxable to MN. Here is a link for more information.

Additionally, the MN Department of Revenue says even if your state refund was taxable at the federal level it is not taxable to MN. Here is a link with more information.

If your refund was counted as taxable on your federal return, the amount is automatically transferred to your MN state return as a deduction.
