Printing state tax forms

I e-filed my Federal return but I want to print my State return for North Carolina and mail it. The File section of TurboTax won't give me any option except to e-file my State return now, or come back and e-file it later. How do I get it to print the return for mailing?

You pay for using the software to prepare the state return whether you e-file it or mail it. So in order to print the state you have to pay your TT fees.

Say what?? I purchased a TurboTax CD from a retailer. What other fees?

I've used TT for the past several years and never had problems printing state tax forms before.

Oh---you did not mention that you are using the CD/download. You can print just the state if you want to mail it using desktop software. Go up to File and choose the return you want to print.
