      <description>&lt;P&gt;For the state you do not live in, you would file a &lt;B&gt;non-resident return&lt;/B&gt;. That return should only include the income earned in that state. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then, you will need to file a&lt;B&gt; resident return for the state you live in&lt;/B&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Your resident return will include all of your income, no matter where earned.&amp;nbsp; But your state may give credit for taxes paid to another state, so that is why the recommendation is to create the non-resident return first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the personal information section of TurboTax (&lt;B&gt;My Info&lt;/B&gt; for TurboTax online), you will need to specify that you made money in another state.&amp;nbsp; This is what will trigger the non-resident return to be created.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See more information below about filing a non-resident return in TurboTax:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
