Hawaii State E-filing 2020 return

I wanted to efile my 2020 State of Hawaii tax form but I'm getting an error on turbo tax stating I cannot efile since I need to attach schedule X to my returns. However when I look at what forms turbo tax will print out for me to mail in my return there is no schedule X form. Anyone else having this issue?

@percussean What error are you getting when trying to e-file your Hawaii state return?

I was able to resolve my issue with schedule X. It may have been that I was trying to file too early. Also when I initially efiled my Hawaii state return was rejected but the reason was due to turbo tax had an error on the original form that I sent. The second time it went thru.

Hey Ashley,

I am having the same issue. TurboTax will not let me E-file because it says I have a schedule X. I did not qualify for low income or claim dependent care, so I am unsure why the program thinks I have filled out or need to include a schedule X.

Any help would be great as Hawaii did not extend its deadline.

Go to Tax Tools
Tools
Delete a form
Hawaii
Delete schedule x
If the form comes back go through all of your Hawaii screens and make sure a selection is made or None of the above for all credits
If there is still a problem, then delete Hawaii and add it back again.
Go through state review and the error should be gone.

There is nothing that says "Tax Tools" or "Schedule X." Where is it located?

I'm a fellow user and can't help you with any specifics about a Hawaii return or "Schedule X", but I can tell you where Tax Tools is located. Are you trying to get to the Tool menu in order to "Delete a Form" as in the steps that MaryM428 gave another user above?

I don't know what product you are using.

Tax Tools is in the left column menu of Online TurboTax (browser version). The return has to be open to have a full left column menu.

If you are using the Mobile App, it does not have Tax Tools. In order to use Tax Tools, Mobile App users can switch back and forth to Online TurboTax in a browser. Once you log in to Online TurboTax through a browser and open your return (i.e., continue it), there is a left column menu which includes a tab for Tax Tools, When you click on Tax Tools, there is a subtab for Tools.
