Trying to e file NYS return for a taxpayer on extension till 10/15/20.

Turbo tax keeps asking for the IRA tax withheld and will not accept the answer and will not e file state or federal return.

I have answered Turbo ax question correctly but

they will not e file.

What is wrong with Turbo Tax?

On the Form 1099-R did you enter the federal taxes withheld in box 4 and the state taxes withheld in box 12?

Enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R

you cannot e-File state via Turbotax unless TurboTax has first e-Filed your federal return and seen it to be ACCEPTED.

What does any of this have to do with tax withheld for an IRA distribution ? Nothing.
