I have tried 3 times to remove Schedule UE from my state return, but it keeps coming back so I can't efile

Schedule UE is related to Form 2106 on the federal return, so if you delete Schedule UE, but still have a Form 2106, it will come back. If you aren't claiming any job related expenses on your federal or Pennsylvania returns, you can delete both forms:

Click on Tax Tools toward the bottom left corner.
Select Tools.
Click on Delete a form.
Scroll down the list and delete Form 2106, Schedule UE, and any related worksheets.
Search for, and delete the ones that appear on your list.
To delete a form, click Delete on the right and then Confirm the delete. Repeat as needed.
When all these forms are deleted, click Continue my return. Click on Review on the left and see if this clears up the error.

Hung up at LAST CLICK to transmit. Could not transmit return because TT wanted more info on Form/Schedule UE. Did not have an employer. No employment income, no expenses reported, no form needed. Went around a few times trying to transmit, TT asking for employer info again and again.

FINALLY I noticed at the top of the form displayed there was A CHECK BOX TO REMOVE THIS FORM FROM THE RETURN. CLICKED IN THE BOX, presto the return transmitted.

Oh happy day!

Putting an X in that box to delete the form did not work for me. Any other suggestions?

There is no "Tax Tools" anywhere on TT insofar as I can see.

There is if you are using the TurboTax online web based editions and have your display screen maximized.

Otherwise click on the 3 horizontal bars in the top left corner of the program screen to open the left side column.

Ok...There is not a Tax Tools link on the TurboTax desktop editions. What exactly are you trying to do?

If you need to start a new tax return click on the File tab at the top left of the desktop program screen and then click on New Tax Return.

I am using TurboTax Home and Business 2021 with PA state return. How do I delete the Schedule UE that comes up in the state return and prevents me from e-filing my PA return. There is no good reason for the Schedule UE since I am retired and have no emplyer nor any unreimbursed business expenses????

You may have made an entry that signaled to TurboTax that you need to submit the form.

However, you can delete the form by opening your return in TurboTax Online and:

If you’re on the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen that displays the categories Personal Info, Income & Expenses, and others in the center of the screen, and none of those categories are open, click the dropdown next to any of the categories, then select the Review/Edit or Pick up where you left off button. If one of the categories is already open and has a Continue button, select the button
Next, in the pane on the left side of your screen, you should see Tax Tools. Select the dropdown to the right of Tax Tools
Then, under that, select Tools
In the Tool Center pop-up, select Delete a form.
Select Delete next to Schedule UE in the list and follow the onscreen instructions.
