Hi,

I bought a Home and business tax software. it said the cd included 1 free state return. but I'm going to e-file now, and it charge me $24.99 for state e-file. can you explain why?

If you purchased the version that has both Federal and State programs, it is a free state program download that is included; i.e., the program to prepare the state return. But there is a $24,99 fee to efile the state return.

In all desktop products there is a 24.99 fee to efile a state return.

There is no fee to print and mail the state return.
