State Tax

The program does not allow me to go back and alter Montana State return. Continues to send me to purchase second state return, Arizona. This was needed last year, 2018, but no needed this year. Totally frustrated with Turbo Tax and will not purchase again.

Did you update your personal information?

You will make your entries in the My Info section of TurboTax.

Confirm that you have entered the correct state information:

Click "Edit" to the right of your name
Confirm your input under #2 "Tell us the state(s) you lived in"
Do the same for your spouse if you are married filing jointly.

Once you have updated this information, confirm your input for state wages is coded to the correct state.

Then proceed to your state interview section. If you are still seeing the same error, you can request help within the product itself.

Click the Help button on the top menu bar.

Then select TurboTax Help Center.
A popup window will pop up and allow you to type in a search or ask for help.
Once you type in your information here, you will also be prompted to have someone call you if needed on the next screen. You will need to enter your information in this section.

I live in AZ with MT income. So the program does not allow me to edit MT without purchasing AZ and I do not want to purchase. I am perfectly capable of preparing without the additional expense. Still frustrated.
