I'm not sure what my exact question was, but I already was aware that I would need to do a part year return to both states. My question is why am I being asked to pay an additional $49 for the state returns when my Premiere packaging states that I am allowed multiple [I believe the number is 3] state returns?

I lived in MO for 6 months and moved [retired] to CT for the rest of 2019. All of my wages were while I lived in MO and the only income I received while in CT were from SSA checks which continued from my MO residency. What forms should I use for each state and do I need to pay an additional $44 with my Premier TurboTax product to calculate a 2nd states taxes?

If you moved from Missouri to Connecticut, you must file a Part-Year return for each state, but if you received social security benefits and any of those benefits were subject to federal income tax, you may be able to eliminate or reduce the amount of those benefits that are subject to Connecticut income tax

In the Desktop program you can efile 3 state returns for each federal return. But you only get 1 free PROGRAM download for 1 state. Then if you need to do another return in a different state you have to buy that state program download.

ps.....then if you want to efile the state returns it is 24.99 for each one including the first one. Or you can print and mail state for free.
