state filing in NY

I am trying to file an income tax for my daughter who passed away in October. Because I do not have access to her 2018 taxes, I cannot file her federal return by E file.

New York requires that the State forms be filed by E file, but since I filed the federal by mail, it will not let me e file the state

Any Help?

New York allows a state tax return to be mailed if the software being used does not support e-filing. You can print and mail the state tax return.
