topic Do I need to file for multiple state because of address change on payslips in State tax filing

I lived in Ohio in 2019 but I changed my address to my husband's place in another state (Iowa) on my Payroll profile in Fall because my lease was over and I didn't have a permanent address anymore and was temporarily living with a friend until I joined my husband in Jan 2020 (just to make sure someone received my official letters). Do I have to pay for both Ohio tax and the other state because my "official" address was changed even though I actually lived in Ohio? My W-2 just has OH listed on Box 15 of my W-2.

if your resident state was Ohio that where you need to file a resident state return. it is unclear what other states you lived in and whether you earned any income while living in them. states have different rules as to residency and filing thresholds so you should go to there websites to check their rules probably for part year residency.
