topic Georgia State filing in State tax filing

Georgia State filing

The TurboTax program tells me that the first State filing is free. I hit the start button for Georgia state and the program appears to download the forms for Georgia but when I follow the prompts, it does nothing further. The program brings up no additional questions and does not give me a State Return back as part of my forms. What do I do? Do I need to pay for the State forms where it is not truly free?

Are you using TurboTax Online or the Desktop software?

I bought the CD so I guess that means I have the Desktop version but I'm able to login to InstallTurboTax.com with my license code. Does that make a difference?

Make sure you have updated the program. While you have the program open, click on "Online" the click on "Check for Updates". If this doesn't help, you will need to contact customer service. To do so, start by clicking on Contact Us This will help to ensure that your call is properly routed.

I did all that you suggested it looks as though it’s time to talk to the Service team. Thanks for your help!
