State return will not accept SS# for dependent. I have contacted SS office and have verified that SS# is correct. Program used this number last year without a problem. This year will not allow me to e-file.

You appear to have done all that you can do to try and get your state return filed electronically.

Since you've verified that your dependent’s Social Security Number was correct, your state’s e-file system will almost surely reject your return again if you try again to e-file with that SSN.

Your only option at that point will be to paper-file your state return.
