CA 540 NR glitch

Attempting to efile my CA 540NR, but every time it asks to put my state of legal residence and where i was stationed at (since was in military) it won’t move to the next step. Click continue and it does nothing

Sign out of TurboTax. Sign back in follow these steps.

1. Click My Info in left hand menu

2. Edit your information to be sure you select "Military or former military"

3. Be sure your resident state is your home of record (not CA)

4. If a spouse is applicable, Edit that information.

5. Be sure the spouse has home of record as residence as well

6. scroll down to "other state income" and select Edit

7. Select CA as state you were stationed in

8. Answer yes or no to the income source question and put in CA, if applicable.

The go to the state interview.

1. Click "State" in the left hand menu.

2. Click "Prepare State" tab at top of page

3. "Edit" CA and go through the interview again to be sure everything looks good.

4. "Edit" your resident state and go through that one again as well.
