      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;You are a&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;part-year&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;California resident.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/B&gt;The portion of the year that you were living and working in Florida is not taxed in either state.&amp;nbsp; California does not tax you because you neither worked nor lived there when you earned that income.&amp;nbsp; The fact that the company is based in California is irrelevant.&amp;nbsp; California only taxes you if you live in California or if you are&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;physically present&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;working in California.&amp;nbsp; Florida has no state tax at all.&amp;nbsp; So you will file a California&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;part-year&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;return to report the percentage of income that&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;is&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;taxable in California.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
