The fact that it shows on both states but not the federal gives me two thoughts.

It just doesn't make sense that it isn't showing on the federal unless:

you already hit the cap so there was no reason to add it in OR

the entity paid PTET instead of non-resident withholding. Check your k-1 to see which tax was paid. The PTET does not qualify for Sch A.

If neither of those are true, you would need to add the taxes paid under Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. File the federal, save a copy, remove the extra income tax paid, file the state.

How do I get Turbo Tax to show my MD non-resident tax withholding in my State taxes line on Schedule A?

What is your resident state?

And are you saying that you have state taxes withheld for Maryland on a W-2 or 1099-R or similar form, but when you look at the data source for line 5a on your Schedule A, that you don't see a reference to the taxes withheld for Maryland?

Thanks for your response. I'm a MA resident. The Maryland pass through amount is shown on my Maryland k-1. Turbo tax reflected the pass through correctly on my MA resident state return and my MD non-resident return but Schedule A line 5a of the Federal doesn't reflect it and I can't seem to find a Turbo Tax workaround. I would appreciate any help that you could give me. Thanks again!
