So I owe both fed and CA state tax. The fed was able to pull the tax payment from my Fidelity Cash Management Account, but the CA franchise tax pulled out $0. It's been 5 days and I haven't seen any other attempts to pay the tax. I set the date of withdrawal on 2/17 when filing the tax returns, but it appears to have done it on 2/18, which is fine.

What Fidelity CMA shows:

I received 2 emails from Intuit stating both federal and state were accepted.

And Turbotax shows:

Any ideas how to correct this?

What does Accepted mean? It means that you tax return was received and has passed initial inspection, such as correct Social Security number and correctly claimed dependents.

Information from the CA Franchise Tax Board states that it can take up to 5 days to process a payment, so it's possible that they have not yet gotten around to processing your payment. The follow has information about this process and customer service information if you need to contact them: CA Timeframes

Once the return has been e-filed and accepted, it is up to the agencies involved to process the returns and either issue refunds or take payments. If you have additional concerns about your payment to CA Franchise Tax Board, please contact them using the information in the CA TImeframes link.

Thanks!

Based on that link, it looks like I need to wait at least 3 weeks since I'm e-filing.

I will update this post if anything changes.... or in 3 weeks. 😌

Just wanted to post an update. CA Franchise Tax board finally withdrew the taxes from my bank account and posted it on 2/27, but only noticed it today (3/2). Weird. They seem to take their super-slow time to process these things in weird ways, first withdrawing $0, then withdrawing the proper amount weeks later.
