topic Georgia Military Exclusion in State tax filing

It appears that in 2022 the Turbo Tax program identified that I qualified for the Georgia Military Retirement Income Exclusion. I never saw the deduction in 2022, 2023, 2024 and now in 2025 due to a high state income refund I looked deeper and found this error. Has anyone else had this program issue. I do not qualify for this deduction. Thanks

Can you clarify, was the deduction only on the 2022 tax return or is it also on the 2025 tax return you're preparing?

Are you under the age of 62? if not then you are not eligible for the Georgia Military Retirement Income Exclusion.

If you are under the age of 62, in the Georgia program for Income, you must Start or Revisit the box labeled Military Retirement Exclusion. Then check the box for the exclusion on the Form 1099-R that you entered in the federal section of the program.

In looking at my Georgia Returns for the last 4 years the program automatically printed on the Georgia schedule 1 form the available deductions for the 62 years of age deduction and also for the military income exclusion. What I have determined for all the years was that it did not automatically take that off my income. It would depend on what I had entered on my 1099. Having that show up on the form automatically is alittle confusing when I never entered any military income. Thanks
