I’ve been unable to file my NYS return after being rejected 2x. This seems like an error with TurboTax software and I’ve seen that there was supposed to be a patch today 2/12. I’ve been unable to do anything up to this point. I cannot even try to refile to see if they’ll accept now. I get looped in an endless cycle of “fix my return now” and then I go around and around. I can’t even print now. I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with support and they told me to wait until I got my federal return. Which I’ve done. It made no difference thus far. I’m very frustrated

If you are getting Reject code R0148 from the State of New York, this is the reason and how to fix it:

You have a missing primary or spouse signature checkbox on the New York E-file Declaration statement.

Revisit the File tab,
click on Revisit to file,
click Continue until you reach the "Declaration to E-file Your State" screen.
Be sure you check the Taxpayer box (and Spouse box if applicable),
the re-file your return.
If you keep getting this reject, you will need to physically print, sign and mail in your return.

I don’t want to sound rude, but did you read my whole post? I can’t even print the return. I’m stuck in an endless loop. So that’s not even an option currently. It’s very clearly your guys software

It sounds like you already fixed the issues with your New York return and now you are trying to file the return and print it. Here are some tips to get your return to process and get you to print your return.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, update your program by following the onscreen instructions.

If you continue having issues you can check some of our common solutions. If your tax return can't be e-filed for some reason, TurboTax will let you know.
