TX has no state income tax, so there is nothing to file for TX. You do prepare and file a state return for OK.

As an OK Resident.

Although you have an RV and stay in TX for 5 days a week, this would just be considered a temporary location, not your home. Since TX does not have any state taxes, you would not need to file a tax return for TX. However, since you have a home that you maintain in OK, you will need to file an OK resident return reporting all of your income that you earned in TX as well as anywhere else.

In general, if you travel for work but return to your home that you maintain in another state, you will file a non-resident state return for the state you are visiting for work and then a resident return for the place where you maintain a home, have your drivers license and get your mail. Then you would take a credit on your resident return for taxes paid to your non-resident state. But since you are working in a state without a state income tax, you will only need to file your OK Resident Return.

Multiple States—Where to File
