      <description>&lt;P&gt;If the settlement was for medical expenses and pain &amp;amp; suffering then the settlement payment is not taxable and doesn't need to be reported. &amp;nbsp;If it was for pain and suffering, then that part is taxable as "other income".&lt;/P&gt;</description>
