Thank you, John.

There is only NJ listed as a state at the top of the TurboTax Screen.

My Spose and I are both residents of NJ, and Personal info Summary has NJ listed as both of our "State of Residence".

TurboTax Deluxe Desktop says it noticed that we have wages from more than one state. This is not true. I've checked our personal profile, and the W2, both have only NJ. The employer ID is from NJ. Why does TurboTax think we have income from more than one state?

What states are listed at the top of your TurboTax screen?

What did you list as your home state (and spouse if you have one).

did you import the W-2? If so, sometimes things get messed up. Try deleting the state info and entering it manually. if you imported. Also, take a look at the actual W-2 to see what's there for the state info if you imported.

Thanks for your reply, Mike.

I scanned the W2 and uploaded it to Turbo Tax. I've checked it thoroughly several times, everything is NJ.

I ended up contacting TurboTax Support. After verifying that all information was correct, they walked me through removing the troublesome W2 from the state return (it remained in the federal return), then re-adding it to the state. Problem solved.
