It appears that TurboTax does not prorate the standard deduction for North Carolina for the time spent in North Carolina. TurboTax provided the FULL standard deduction. That does not appear correct?

Was the post even read?

This appears to be automated generic non-answer by TurboTax.

ChatGPT wrote: "No, North Carolina does not prorate the standard deduction based on the time you lived in the state. If you're filing as a part-year resident, you generally claim the full North Carolina standard deduction for your filing status, not a prorated amount."
