I live in TN and we don’t have state tax like other states and my employer put down a state and number value in box 15. Won’t let me progress but state is not on the list

I have a value in that section of the W-2 an employer code and state so turbo tax won’t let me progress or finish my document until I chose a state that isn’t on the list.

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming
